Well the forum weighed in. Turns out primary fermentation is complete! However, I have a few choices. I can clear here and perform my infusion as I had planed. Or I can rack over to some new blueberries and ferment some more.
Advantages to "sticking with the plan":
1. I can have this mead ready to drink in a week or two.
2. It will be very flavorful/drinkable with a 9-10% ABV
Disadvantages to "sticking with the plan":
1. It won't have the "body" of a full blown wine. I myself haven't experienced enough wines to know the difference, which makes me wonder.
2. It doesn't have a high enough ABV and can spoil easily. This one actually has me worried. I don't want it to be so low on the ABV side that it will be spoiled within a week.
I guess I'll think about it.....I'll keep you posted.
