Hey all!
I had a big surprise this weekend! Turns out out of all the meads I brought to a party Friday night the blueberry was the favorite! I had brought three different meads, a grape/apple which is also carbonated, my now famous blackberry fortified, and my blueberry. Don't go looking for the grape/apple, nor the blackberry fortified on this blog...their recipes don't exist, anywhere. That's right they were amongst my most successful (especially the blackberry) and I haven't the faintest idea on how I made them. I wasn't as meticulous as I am now with my notes. Live and learn. Anyway, that is what was so surprising! The blueberry took first place! I guess I am getting better.
I did end up saving one bottle for ageing. We will see how it fairs in a month or so.
